Michael's Belt Graduation
Last friday Michael graduated from Senior Brown Belt to Red belt! He's about 3 more belts until black and getting more excited each graduation. This last graduation was cool because his teacher started this thing called "Black Belt for a Week" where each week a selected student gets to wear a black belt to classes and Michael was chosen first! My mom was talking to Master Kang(his taekwondo instructer) and told him how Michael bows each morning and night to her and my dad. Master Kang was very impressed and so were a ton of parents and even students. It was fun to see how excited all the students were about being to wear a black belt as their faces dropped and they all looked at each other. We have some pretty sweet video of him that will be on here once i figure that out, but until then here's some photos. Michael is on the far left.
Shots of him doing his form.

All the new red belts. This is the group Michael has started with(a few have quit) and it looks like they are going to the end. They are the top belt group of the school and have gotten pretty close.

The Swinging Bunnies
So, here are four bunnies. And how many kids are in our family? Yeah,4. Oh, great. So that usually means someone has an idea to claim they are one and someones another. Does this only happen to us? So, here comes the fight between Cassidy and Dani. We have had this thing for a while now so originally it has been Cassidy=Bunny on the left swing, Me=Bunny in the middle, and Michael=Bunny on the the right swing. Well since then (it has been a few years since we have taken it out), Dani was born and the bunny on the left swing broke his ear. Moving on, Cassidy believes she still holds the position of the cute little bunny in the dress and Dani should be the big boy bunny on the left side with the weird hat. Dani says she is the little bunny in the "pretty little dress" because she is the "baby of the family" and that is definately the baby bunny. I guess they don't even bother to fight me for the middle bigger girl bunny because it is like a given its mine because I am the oldest and a girl plus its not as cute(and none of them want to step down and let the other win). I think the whole thing is quite funny because they are fighting over these fake bunnies on swings but it gets them all fired up when the other says something like "oh, don't i look cute in my pink little dress?" Me and Michael don't really care about the whole thing. But be and my mom think it should it should be Michael=bunny on the side, Dani=bunny on left swing, Me=bunny on middle swing, and Cassidy=Bunny on right swing. The Bunny on the right swing fits her too, the bunny has a chipped ear and Cassidy has a chipped tooth from falling in PE last week. haha. What do you think?

St. Patricks Day!
Here's a couple photos of our St. Patricks Day dinner yesterday, corned beef and cabbage. We took advantage of the whole Irish thing and went all out this year! We had green shamrock shaped jello, mint patties spread around the table, and even our name written on a stick of green mint gum as our place holder!
I took pictures of the dinner, put the camera down, and forgot to take pictures of us. Don't you hate it when that happens? Whoops!
Happy St. Patricks Day!

Leap Year
Happy Leap Year! So I figure I should update the blog today, not only because it is leap year and how often do you read the date February 29th?, but because a few neat things have happened this past week I think I should share...
Wednesday morning my parents left for a trade show for their company taking with them 50 popcorn bins filled with 20 king sized candies, a 20 foot banner, and these cool baseball jerseys that say ALLSTAR across the front in a angels type font(the theme this year is baseball, perfect huh?) They are gone until sometime tommorow(saturday)and we(me, cassidy, michael, dani, & macy our dog) are staying at grandma and grandpas house until then.
Wednesday night was New Begginings for the Young Women in our ward. Because Cassidy turned 12 in the past year they presented her along with a few other girls. The theme was DMW(department of many values) and the orientation song for the new girls was "The Wheels on the Bus". The laurels invited the new beehives up to sit in chairs aligned like a bus and started singing having the girls one by one(not knowing this was going to happen)say what they would say on the bus. So this is how it went when it got to Cassidy "the cassidy on the bus says hi(what she came up with)...all through the town". Everything went with the theme and it was a great night. Plus grandma got to come! oh yeah- we also made this really good creamy tortilla soup I found for dinner!(I will put it on here later)
Today was a Blue and Gold dinner for Michael and the rest of the cubscouts that celebrated chinese new year. It was for the whole family, so off went me, Grandma, Grandpa, Cassidy, Michael, and Dani for some chinese food down at the church. They gave out some awards, Morgan Taylor(who just came back from his Taiwan Mission) talked about the new year(he did a very good job), and they even saved some time for Michael to show everyone his form and some nunchuck moves! He is so good! Oh- my fortune cookie said i am going to fall in love(or date-i can't remember) with some famous person. A little weird, but I will take it, haha, just kidding! : )
HAPPY FEBRUARY 29TH!!!! (You only get to say it every 4 years! : )

iLa Salsa!

We just got back from our combined activity where we learned to do the salsa! Originally, the night was planned as a "sock hop" where you bring socks to donate which emerged to a learn a dance night. So, the place was all decorated fifties and we learned the salsa! David and Darcy Coles taught the youth a few steps at a time, swiching partners every so often, and then we had a dance competition. Then we ate root beer floats at the end. I was really impressed with all the boys participation and willingness to dance.
funny how dancing keeps becoming the subject of our blog, huh?

And another one!...Bop to the Top
Would you believe me if I told you Dani's favorite show is dancing with the stars? Well it is! She loves all the dancing and glittery dresses and is quite the little performer. Dani says she either wants to be on Dancing With the Stars or American Gladiators when she gets older. That's our pretty in pink tomboy! If you listen closely Dani unexpectedly toots at about 1:05! She thinks she is so funny and says "i tooted!" as she continues on with her performance. -McKenzie
Here it is!
I figured out something was wrong with the internet so I couldn't up load it directly, but I was able to do so on another computer so here it is. As you can tell the video was recorded about three months ago but it's so cute! It is me simply pressing record on the computer and play on the cd player. No editing whatsoever. Make sure you turn up your volume! : ) -McKenzie

Any other way?
Hey, McKenzie here. I been trying to upload a few videos for a while now and I haven't been able to get one up. I know you are supposed to upload them from YouTube or Google videos but is there a way around it?

Merry Christmas!
Warm holiday wishes to all. We are looking forward to a bright New Year and thought it might be fun to put in place a family blog. Honestly, I don't really understand the purpose of blogging, but we wanted to grab "Hrabik" before it was taken! I'm sure it will be fun, and with McKenzie's help there may even be new things to read.
